 ALP-S

ALP-S is an Austrian research and development platform involving many partners from different fields of activity and founded mainly by public authorities and companies. Alp-S makes a substantial and sustainable contribution to the safety of inhabited and industrial alpine areas. Methods of “improved” management of natural hazards are demonstrated by an international research team in ways crossing traditional discipline boundaries (geology, environmental engineering, meteorology, biology, civil engineering, geomatics engineering, …). In particular the effects of socio-economic changes and the effects of the global climatic change on the potential hazards in inhabited and industrial alpine areas are examined and taken into account.

 EuroSDR

EuroSDR is a Spatial Data Research Organisation consisting of delegates from Geographic Information (GI) Production Organisations and Research Centres from eighteen member states in Europe, together with Participants from Industry and the commercial sector. EuroSDR Research aims to serve the needs of the entire European Geo-Information Community and is carried out through international co-operation. Some TOPO lab members participate or lead some of EuroSDR research projects.

Galileo

The Galileo Programme is a joint initiative of the European Commission (EC) and the European Space Agency (ESA) to provide Europe with its own independent global civilian controlled satellite navigation system. The Galileo Joint undertaking (GJU) has been set up by the EC and ESA to manage the development phase of the Galileo Programme. The TOPO lab actively participates in GJU projects.

 IAG

The International Association of Geodesy (IAG)is a constituent Association of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) that aims in the advancement of geodesy, an earth science that includes the study of the planets and their satellites. The IAG implements research through collecting, analyzing, and modeling observational data, by stimulating technological development and by providing a consistent representation of the figure, rotation, and gravity field of the earth and planets and their temporal variations. TOPO members participate in IAG commissions and working groups.

 ISPRS

The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) is a non-governmental international organization, devoted to the development of international cooperation for the advancement of knowledge, research, development, education and training in the photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. Some TOPO lab members chair and participate in ISPRS working groups.

CT!

The CTIis the Swiss Confederation’s innovation promotion agency. For more than 60 years it has supported the transfer of knowledge and technology between businesses and universities. Actually the CTI is supporting the TOPO project i-Qual

 VSS

The Federal Office of Topography (Swisstopo) is the centre of competence for the Swiss Confederation responsible for geographical reference data, for instance the description, representation and archiving of geographic spatial data (such as national maps, elevation and landscape models, satellite images, orthophotos).
